What is Deep Conditioning Colors?

Deep conditioning color is a semi-permanent colored conditioner. It gently colors your hair while deep conditioning at the same time. If you are using DCC to color your hair a brand new color the color will need to sit in your hair for at least an hour. If you are using DCC to refresh a current dyed hair color the conditioner will only need to sit 15-30 minutes. DCC will NOT work on dyed black-dark brown hair. If your hair is naturally black- dark brown you may acheive some slight highlights using the darker/vibrant shades like dark blue or Burgundy for example. You will achieve the best results on pre-lightened hair or the hair colors med brown - blond as well as grey hair. The lighter your beginning hair color the more vibrant the DCC will show up.

How long will DCC last?

DCC will last up to 8 shampoo’s. Each time you wash your hair the color will fade some. If you would like for the color to last longer that 8 shampoo’s you can simply refresh your hair color by using some of the DCC after each time you shampoo.

FAQ

Will DCC stain your clothes, pillow cases etc.?

No, it can stain your hands if you don’t use gloves during application but once your hair is dry the color will not run or stain.

Can the color be left in longer than an hour?

Yes, because DCC is a conditioner you can leave the color in your hair up to 3 hours but we wouldn’t reccomend leaving it in longer than that.

What if I want to change the color before 8 shampoo’s?

You can use our color removing shampoo to gently fade and remove the DCC allowing you to recolor another shade.

Are DCC mixable?

Yes, you can mix any of the shades together to create your own custom shades.

What is the difference between Deep Conditioning Color and Hair Shadows?

Hair shadows sit on top the hair and the colors can be acheived on any hair color. The color only last 3-5 days. DCC is a colored conditioner that semi-permanently colors the hair and the color is best acheived on med brown-blond and grey hair. DCC will last up to 8 shampoos.

Can you use Hair Shadow on top of hair that has DCC in it?

Absolutely! DCC can change your base color and hair shadow can be used to add extra color on top to create awesome color combos.

Does DCC only work on natural hair?

No, DCC can work on any hair type or texture as long as it is med brown- blond or grey.

Can you use DCC on synthetic hair?

No. DCC will not color synthetic hair but it will color human hair wigs, braids, and extensions. If looking to color synthetic hair we would reccomend you use our Hair Shadows instead.
