DCC Color Removing Shampoo Instructions:

Shake well before each use. Use gloves. Avoid directly applying to the scalp and avoid getting it on your ears. This product contains a high amount of Vitamin C and if sitting on your scalp and/or ears for a long period of time it can burn. Use on wet hair. Apply generously to the hair in sections where you choose to remove color. Work into a lather and then let sit for 30 min under a plastic cap. Check hair after 30 minutes by washing out a small section and if desired amount of color has been pulled out, rinse with warm water and then immediately deep condition. If the desired amount of color has not been removed use a little warm water to wet and re-lather hair and let sit for another 30 minutes. You can do this process again and again until you reach the desired color removed but do not exceed 4 hours. Make sure to deep condition immediately after this process. You can use our Deep Conditioning Colors to condition and recolor your hair directly after this step or you can use your own deep conditioning product. Either way make sure to deep condition for at least 10 minutes immediately after using the color removing shampoo.  

This shampoo can also be used to make a current semi or perm hair color a lighter or “pastel” color. For example if your hair is dyed red and you apply this shampoo and let it sit 30-60 minutes it will make your hair a shade of pink. Instead of recoloring on top of the pink you could then stop the process there, deep condition and style as usual.
